Search protein localization data
Using monoclonal antibodies directed against the mTn-encoded HA epitope, we have determined the subcellular localization of transposon-tagged proteins in nearly 7,000 strains. Within TRIPLES, protein localization data may be analyzed by performing a category-specific search; this category search provides a convenient means of identifying all strains containing tagged proteins localized to a particular site within the cell. For example, we may obtain a list (with accompanying localization data) of all strains carrying epitope-tagged proteins localized to the spindle pole body by selecting "spindle pole body" from the available list of "localization" terms. To refine resulting search data, we may custom-format search output by selecting the "custom-format output" option; as an example, we may eliminate column 7 (default setting of "trial") by simply selecting a blank entry from the appropriate pull-down menu. In this manner, users may individually format the resulting search table to suit their needs. As with any category-specific search, users may click on a highlighted clone ID to generate a composite report of each strain.
