Specific mTn insertion alleles (in yeast and bacteria):
Any insertion allele within our collection is freely available to interested
researchers for further study. Our entire collection of mutants may be searched
for any desired allele through our TRIPLES database. Each allele is available in three forms:
1) E. coli carrying a plasmid containing an insert of yeast genomic DNA with full-length mTn insertion at the indicated site
2) Diploid yeast containing lacZ-fusions generated from mTn insertion (chromosomal)
3) Diploid yeast containing the mTn-encoded epitope tag (generated by Cre-mediated reduction of the transposon)
At present, we don’t have our entire collection available for distribution in an
arrayed format, but we do ship individual strains as soon as possible.
